Got nothing to say but thought the title would be spooky for today.

Well, Sam, there's nothing worse than some know it all who slides in a dire message like "beware the ides of March". Why? I have been on the phone almost without let up today trying to help customers with their problems. That's not so bad, right? In between all that I had to go to our supplier, pick up parts and deliver them 15 miles away. Still not too bad, right? Well, on the way to our supplier (about 1.5 miles from my house) I have a blow out. Since I am too stupid to change the tire myself, I call #2 son for help. He comes by and he can't get the flat tire off the car! So, we call for roadside assistance. About 45 minutes later the guy shows up and has to beat on the tire to remove it. So, I flip him a fiver, thank him and head to the tire store. Now the fun begins.

Upon dropping off the tire, the clerk says it is beyond repair (only about 30K miles on it) but they have a used tire and will put it on the rim for 50 bucks. Did I tell you I'm just getting warmed up? So, thinking I got off with only a $50.00 bill, the guy calls back later and says the sensor broke and it will cost me $50 to $75 more! So I say, "Hey! Why not? I'm having such a wonderful day, let's go for it!"

And to top off all the above, someone says, "Beware the Ides of March". Yeah! Tell me something I don't know.

It"s OK, Sam, I still love ya. Just another day in the life of TOG.

Oh Jim, I'm so sorry. Wish I could help you but if I had been there I wouldn't have been able to change a flat tire either.

The only bad that that happened recently was one of our cats got sick and we had to take her to the vet yesterday. So apparently the Ides of March doesn't discriminate against humans only.

No problemo, Sam. Sorry about the cat. We have had several pets over the years and a few of them were cats. Enjoyed them a lot.

I have to say Jim, that your woes are not a surprise to me today... While I haven't had any misfortune myself today, {fingers crossed}, a lot of people I know are complaining about how Today {this Monday} has been a horrible day for them...

Well sure people have died but how many people get killed in a conspiracy led by their best friend. I'd say that's really really bad luck.

Okay then, so which is worse Easter or March 15??? lol

Hey come on, let's not go there. Let's keep it friendly. I don't want to ruffle any feathers or in this case disturb the fur off of any rabbits.

Just asking, they were both betrayed by their best friend and both died as a result...

I'm still having a good chuckle at Jim's description of events.

Let me clarify to not sound like an evil malicious scumbag right about here.

While I do sympathize with anyone having a bad day (I've had those. They're not fun at all and only good for delivering a clear distinction of the good days) I am in no way making light of Jim's troubles.

Like I said - I'm laughing at the description. While I'm glad Jim is able to take a day like that in retrospect and share it with us in a somewhat lighthearted fashion, I just can't get it out of my head how you refer to your kid as SON NUMBER TWO!!

I mean we're this close to a foreign accent, and "NUMBER TWO!!"

"Yeah, pop?"

"FLAT TIRE! CHANGE IT!! MACH SCHNELL!!"

"Alright pop."

"WHAT IS ZE PROBLEM, NUMBER TWO!?

"Well, dad, I dunno how ya did it, but this here tire ain't goin' anywhere."

"VERDAMMT!! AND IS BOND STILL ALIVE!?"

"What're you on about, pop?"

"SILENCE!! YOU HAVE FAILED ME FOR ZE LAST TIME, NUMBER TWO!!"

"Aww geez... Mom? Where'd you put the Geritol..?"
