Question for the Australians

NASA recently reported having a balloon crash carrying a very expensive telescope. Here are the full details.

My question to you was did you hear any mention of it on your local news? I am just curious if people over there even noticed or cared to comment on it. They said the incident occurred in Alice Springs which is pretty much in the center of the country away from major cities.

Hey come on. I asked for the Australians not the silly Americans. :P

Wait your turn for when I ask about the Jackalope or Big Foot.

well if it crashed in alice springs it was probably taken by a dingo before anyone heard of it.

We usually get anything from msn on nine.msn.com.au but I didn't hear anything & didn't notice on msn

Never heard of it...

...meanwhile a little green man who calls himself Zaktar moved in with us yesterday... said he was only here until his balloon-ship could be repaired. He likes sausages... uncooked.

Thanks that's what I wanted to know. It received very little press here and was wondering if it got any more over there.
