Hi,
why the heck can't I find a thread of Stolen Life?
It does star Chris Jones (well, at least his voice, as it seems) but I searched the whole forum and couldn't find it discussed anywhere. Probably i just didn't search well enough.

In this case, please excuse and close the thread.
Who doesn't know what Stolen Life is, check out this website:
http://www.zipworld.com.au/~raz/nima/SL_Tumb/sl_ss.html
This is what Peter Rasmussen had to say on JustAdventures:
Fans of Chris from the Tex Murphy adventures can look forward to again enjoying his dry delivery in this 3D animated Sci-fi detective story “Stolen Lifeâ€.
Stolen Life is being created in the exciting new medium called Machinima. This is animation in a game engine of the kine used for 3D first person shooters.
Chris stars opposite Claudia Black of the sci-fi series “Farscape†who we will be recording in Sydney in early November.
Doesn't sound that bad, does it??

Most probably because nobody has heard of it. Those screenshots don't look like much to be worth talking about.

We all naturally like to see things in a good light and seeing great scenes, beautiful people and exotic locations backed by super graphics is always inviting. However, even if the trailer "looks" bad, the story line and puzzles may actually be worth seeing. Let's sit back and wait for its release. Perhaps someone here - like myself - will buy it, review it and let the rest of us know if it's worth buying.

Isn't Chris Jones faboulus voice reason enough to give it a try?
Why not just close our eyes and listen instead of seeing, if you don't like the images... we also liked TMRT, didn't we? So i thought, it would be interessting enough to let you know. It's a fan project, so don't deal so severely with it.

(and i think, it will be free for download, as the first project is also free)

The graphics look like something out of SECOND Life. This stuff is at least five years behind on the tech scale.
But... yeah, support your Tex alumni, says I.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to give it go, but trying to listen to Chris Jones as a detective other than Tex will be hard to get used to.

Odds are this game will develop a cult following, and their fanbase will demand a sequel that will never come... hmm, it would be scary if that happened to us.

I say, cross our fingers and hope for the best. Technology has long been the oppressor of good stories. Maybe this game will supercede its graphics.

I thought this is going to be some kind of independent animation movie...

Highly doubtful...
But good to see more stuff with Chris in it. I'll have to take a look. Honestly, the man could poop on the sidewalk and I'd still have to atleast check it out...
