Here's an old photo of me from a Star Trek convention. I love Scotty. Feeling nostalgic today.

AAAAAAAAWSOME! I have a signed photo of Doohan...though I was never able to meet him in person.

Awesome photo, Sam :) Jimmy was just as charismatic in interviews as he was in engineering, it was such a shame to lose him. I also have to compliment you on that very fine replica of the TOS uniform - report to the bridge at once! ;)
I would never put on a red shirt and go near any of the named characters. You're a brave one.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Haha. I'm very happy to live to talk about it Fred.

Yes it was a big thrill to get to see Doohan in person. It was also a little sad because he looked like he wasn't going to make it to many more conventions after that.

Well Joel I figured if you are going to go to a Star Trek convention you might as well go all the way. There were some more daring people. I saw some blue Andorians and green Orion Slave Girls with body paint. Now those were some crazy Star Trek fans.

Not Every Red-Shirt Crewman was killed... lol
Just 95% of 'em...

So you're just going to tease me and allude to the fact that the best part of the whole darn convention will never be seen in this thread?! ;)

Well Joel, I could be mean and say you need to go to your own Star Trek Convention. :) Here are some more pics from when I went in 2003.

I was and still am a huge fan of the original series. That must have been a great moment for you.

The other pics are interesting as well; the Borg is kind of cute, but what's with the green girls? j/k

gee sam you are really into star trek

tex murphy is back in town
Thanks for the extra photo's Sam but to be honest they were disappointing, the other girls were nowhere near as hot as you ;) I don't remember Andorian slaves having pot belly's and double chins, i'd much rather take you to the holodeck :D
 Thanks for the compliment Joel.

The others spent more time on their costumes. I was very impressed especially by the Borg. All I had to do was buy the outfit and a pair of boots. All and all it was neat to see so many people dressed up. It was like getting to celebrate Halloween in the middle of the year. It was a place where all us freaks can gather and not feel so freaky. :D

I think if they ever have a Doctor Who convention come to my town, I'll definitely have to go. I've got a long scarf ready to go at any time.

Plumgas, I'm no more crazed and obsessed with Star Trek than say Tex Murphy.

Don't you mean "I couldn't do it, captain!"

-Cub. =o)
No it's "I couldna doo it captain". It's hard to type a Scottish accent.
