I don't remember Overseer requiring a CD key. Some programs come with a CD key that you have to punch in when you install it to activate the program.

For example, Microsoft Windows and Office both ask for CD keys.

15 bucks for Shipping??? They are out of their mind...

Yeah what Sam said about the CD Key...

I don't recall Overseer having one, but it has been so long since I've installed it from the CDs...

A Tex game has never had a CD-KEY. In fact, the only Access related game that was to have one was the latest two 3 Cards games if I recall correctly.

Yep, Overseer never had a CD key, like the rest of the Access games from that era. Had a look at their ebay page... looks bogus. I'd recommend leaving this one alone.

Thanks to all for your explanations. I agree that I have never heard of a CD key for any Tex game and that is why I asked.

BTW, I am not interested in buying it as it seems a bit suspicious.

The guy probably doesn't know what he's talking about... Best to leave it be either way...

Agrred. Actually, I didn't need to post a response, but Baf took over my record at ending threads and I am just trying to get in the last word. As the Borg would say: "Resistance is futile," so Baf will probably get in the last word anyway. (sigh) Perhaps I should just yield to the younger - and wiser - generation.

Jim, as another great man in a Fedora once said,

"It's not the years, it's the mileage"

I expect you to hang on as long as possible and not give up. And that's an order!

Cub,
Your bunny is just sooo adorable! I just want to hug him and squeeze him and pet him.

Well seeing how Sam took your thunder on the last word I guess it won't hurt for me to chime in... ;}

I'll accept being the Younger generation, but wiser not a chance... You're about the same age as my father and I still learn from him, hope to for some years to come...

We have a saying here, it basically translates to:

"The elders are the oldest."

Thanks, Sam and Baf. You too, Fred, although I am not sure if that was a compliment or just the plain truth.
