Plumgas,
You wanted something new so I'm here to whine about a recent sadness.

I found out that Victoria's Secret has discontinued the bra I like. I now have to audition a new bra. I'm very sad.

It's funny they even did a whole episode of Married with Children about how Peggy's favorite bra got discontinued too. I never truly felt her pain until now.

Ebay... Whenever in doubt go to Ebay... I'm willing to bet you'll find your bra on there for some many months to come...

Baf... This is a post for the girls. It's about bras. You're supposed to take a hint and not say anything - much less comment on the matter as if you have any knowledge about the subject at all!

Just trying to save your masculinity in the eyes of the interweb ol' buddy!

I'm quite Secure in my Masculinity and feel no different discussing undergarments as I do discussing the Rebuilding of my Jeep...

But thank you for your concern and if the topic makes you blush, I simply suggest not reading it... :P

It seems these days anything that's good the manufacturers delete it, makes me wonder where they get their marketing infomation "probably from a male"

0h Sam, I feel your pain. I loved the Ipex, that was what I wore ALL the time. I would always stock up on them. But the underwire would eventually come out and poke me, (the ultimate is never good at putting them in a protective mesh bag in the washer) and thus would bite the dust. When I went in a few weeks ago, they told me they discontuinued them, and I tried some other. They are ok, I guess, but NOT the same. 8(

Edit to add

Hey sweet, I just checked the VS online store. They still have them there. Check for yours Sam. :D

I've tried the Ipex, they were okay. I favor the Body by Victoria model. Mesh bag? I hand wash all my bras. I stopped trying to wash them in the machine ages ago because of the underwire issue. I feel better knowing somebody understands how I feel.

I'm secure about my masculinity too. So if I try on a bra I'm allowed to post in this post?

Sure if you've got something constructive to say you can.

What's your views on:
wire versus no wire?
thickness of straps?
cup shape: balconette, demi, or full coverage?
front or back clasp?

Wow nothing like being put on the spot.

For me I'm all about convenience and comfort. So I would go with no wire and have the clasp on the front. Although I've never done it, it seems much easier trying to unclasp the front than the back. Thickness of straps should be strong enough so it will stay on but not too thick to where it would be uncomfortable.

And I'm sorry to say I've never even heard of the words demi or balconette.

Good responses. Thank you for giving a well thought out analysis. I agree with comfort as the most important criteria. Which is why the recent discontinuence of my favorite model has me sad. They changed the design to favor aesthetics.

Ironically it is easier to clasp in the front but I found it more comfortable to have the clasp in the back. I find it itches to have the clasp in the front.

I do it easy clip it at the front & then swivel, haven't had wire pop out for a while now, had that problem before but stopped buying cheap bras.

any one tried washing with a bra ball............
