Excellent!! (air guitar moment)
No Way! Keanu Reeves has suggested that work has begun on a third 'Bill and Ted' movie.
Reeves played Ted Theodore Logan in 1989's 'Excellent Adventure', and its subsequent sequel in 1992 - 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey'. Alex Winter played Bill S Preston.
Winter recently revealed that the original film's writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are working on the script.
Talking to MTV, Reeves admitted he can't wait to reprise his famous time travelling rocker role nearly 20 years later.
He said, "I'm still friends with Alex and we're talking to Chris and Ed to see if they can write something. I'd love to play the role and work with them again. We'll see what they do..."
No director has been attached yet (despite Reeves joking that he wanted notorious filmmaker Werner Herzog to helm the movie), but no doubt fans of the popular franchise will be desperate to see Bill and Ted on the big screen again.

The project has potential but it could go either way. Both Bill & Ted films had their own merits and worked very differently. Though when watching the sequel as a child I was both frightened and confused. You could kind of argue it was my first ever stoner flick. I always preferred the first one because of the straight ahead time travel sci-fi plot. But I might revisit the sequel to see if it makes more sense as all I remember about it is the terminator and satan.
But as for a contemporary Bill & Ted, good to hear they're not rebooting with a new cast as the chemistry between Reeves and Winter was perfectly fluid. Sadly we will be missing out on George Carlin who in my opinion was the coolest of the trio. As long as the character are matured gracefully in a way where they're still to a certain extent in touch with themselves it could work. But the pair do have a challenge on their hands if they want to wind back the clock twenty years to enter the headspace of the time traveling Beavis & Butthead.
We'll see, i'll keep an open mind on this one.
