World of Goo music = Tex Murphy music?
This has been bugging me for ages... I was playing World of Goo and one of the background music tracks just sounded so familiar. It was this one:

It's not entirely in your head, about half way... haha.
It's a very common jazz "snoop" theme used in a lot of music of its type. But the minute I heard this example I found it very familiar as well. It's not the same tune, but very close to this piece from Under a Killing Moon:

although another close call is this piece, which is a variation of the Chandler Avenue theme:
