Bummer... I didn't seen Ron Perlman's name in that article anywhere... Still has him listed as Rumored in The Hobbit Part 2, so maybe there is hope yet...

Excellent cast list, and David Tennant in the running too? That would be interesting.
I do hope they film it in New Zealand.

I think Ron Perlman might still play Beorn.
He hasn't been casted yet.
David Tennant was rumored to play Bilbo, but now that role has been officially casted.
He could maybe play someone else though.

I always thought that Perlman would have made a good Thorin... But I can see him as Beorn as well...
