Ah having one of those days. Just found out they have moved the Shuttle launch from Dec 3rd to the 17th. I will not be available to travel to FL so now we are changing all our travel plans.

I hate it when the mess with everybody's schedules. Oh well I am relieved they are spending more time working on making the vehicle safer. It's probably all for the best.

I guess safety has to come first but what a pain!

Yes safety seems to take charge everywhere nowadays... Just look at all the junk in the media over the TSA...


Which would you opt for??? The full Imaging Screening of your body which pretty much puts all your business out there for most to see??? Or the full body search, and I mean FULL Body, every wrinkle you have will be flipped and flopped and inspected, putting all your business into a stranger's hands???


Me, I think I'd opt for the Road Trip option... I look at it this way, if I don't have to cross an Ocean I'd much rather drive anyway... Don't get me wrong, I have no problem flying, I just love a good road trip...

My solution is enforcing our 2nd Amendment rights. All non violent felons should at least be allowed to carry tasers on an airplane.

So all the snakes could yell "Don't taze me, bro!" ...?

Sorry to hear that, Sam. Frustration can make the heart sick. But safety is a good thing.

The simplest solution would be to put everyone to sleep during the flight. That way we don't have to listen to screaming kids, rude passengers, and loud talkers. The terrorists would be sleeping too.

We could finally have a lot less trouble on plane flights.

@ Sam - I've thought of something similar. Knockout gas that could be dispersed in the plane during riots. Of course then the oxygen masks would have to be locked down. I'm not sure I'd like to be anesthetized unless necessary due to the possibility of corrupt flight personell.

There are too many health issues with knockout gas... It can affect everyone differently...

I say just make the plane like a Roller Coaster... Everyone gets in, gets harnessed down and can't move for the duration of the flight... If you need to go to the bathroom, you signal the "Guard" {not stewardess} and you are released and escorted to the bathroom by an armed guard...

Also the cockpit should be closed off to all communication... That way the Pilots can't be informed of anything happening on the aircraft... Install a double soundproof door so that the pilots can't hear anyone knocking/pounding on the door either... The pilot can of course inform the plane of expected turbulence, final approach, or anything else they need to, but the Pilots aren't to be contacted by anyone in the plane for any reason... They are to take off, fly, and land... They are only to speak with air traffic control...




And then there is the final option... Make EVERYONE fly naked... Only carry on allowed is health medication in a clear plastic bag...

Yeah after writing that I then realized the gas could be too much for infants. As far as flying naked with all these invasive scans it's getting to that point.
