Thanks guys!
It's set to be an awesome night! I am just about the head up there to the cinemas now. The car looks great! The doc has just converted the car to the flying version, with the turned tyres and it's all lit up, looks great! I will be there in my 2015 Marty McFly outfit, with the self-adjusting jacket, Nike Mag shoes with Power Laces, Lenticular Cap, and Hoverboard!
Anyway, here are some pics from last Friday when it was on the harbour:
The car is not street legal so we could not take it for a spin through town, but we did the next best thing and took it down George St (our busiest St) on Friday night, the busiest time of the week, on the fact of a flat-bed tow truck. I rode in the front, and the looks we got were phenomenal. One guy walked into a tree!
The guy who owns the car says I can pop by the caravan park where he is staying tomorrow morning and drive the car round the grounds!!! I will get it all on video! I AM SO EXCITED!
Cheers!

Make sure he allows enough space for you to get up to 88 miles per hour!

Well folks, I've just come back from having a drive of the DeLorean this morning. What an amazing experience. It was a dream come true! I can now cross it off my bucket list. Unfortunately I did not have enough room to get up to 88 miles per hour, but I had a flux of a time all the same! I am really gonna miss Doc Braun (the guy who brought over the car). He recorded video of the drive for me, so I can post it up later. In fact, Braun is probably one of the nicest, most genuine and generous people I have ever met. It was trully fascinating being around someone so dedicated and knowledgable about the film and its culture.
As for the event, it was phenomenal. We sold out, and packed out an 822 person cinema. The line extended beyond the boundaries of the complex and ran down the street outside! People were lining up in the hundreds to have their photos taken with the car, and the air guitar competition was a total hoot! The film looked great and crystal clear projected digitally and remastered, and sounded so explosive!
I took a whole bunch of photos, as well as a professional photographer who was there on the night so once I have them all together I will post them here.
Thanks to everyone here for your well wishes and support (and you ticket Jen!)... all up, with ticket sales and the raffle we raised in the vacinity of $24,000 for Parkinson's, which is a great effort.
Hopefully we can do the same with Part II and III in the future.... or the past!
Cheers,
-Cub. =o)

Awesome News... Maybe for Part II and/or III you can get them to do it for more than just one night... If you sold out the one night, it's quite possible you could have sold out another night or two as well, from what you've described you could have probably went a whole week... I guess that would be up to the Cinema though...
