I am starting this thread to see what the latest news on Chris Jones is. I havent heard a peep about Chris for so long I thought it would be interesting to see what people know.
The last I heard Chris was working at Microsoft.

I heard that as well. And, as far as I know, he does occasionally still perform with the Consoltants of Swing.

I recall that Chris had his own Virtual Golf company, or did that all change?

Well, since this topic brought itself up...
Chris Jones is still Finance Executive of Tru Golf, a company that makes golf simulators.

Here's some more info a about TruGolf if you want to try and send him a letter/fax (calling would be creepy though):
Address:
1299 W 75 N
CENTERVILLE, Utah 84014-1763
Phone: 801-298-9876
Fax: 801-298-9482
Oh, and there's some "NEWS" (I guess). If you look at it in the satellite view on Google maps, there's a building there, but not in the Street View. So that means they just built a new facility! Oh yeah! TruGolf!

I don't know but watching his business sprout new buildings via google maps seems a little stalker-creepy to me.
But seriously I think we'd all love a chance to get to meet him in person someday.

I suspect the thought creeps him out at night sometimes.
I know I'd be worried to meet myself...or Fred.

Actually I'm a quite lovely person to meet.

I almost got to meet him... The Adventure Games thing that was suppose to take place in New Jersey, I was all set to go and he had confirmed that he would be there and then they canceled it due to not having enough people sign up... I was quite disappointed that it got canceled... Was really looking forward to meeting him...

I heard he's become a farmer in the mid-west and sometimes, late at night in the autumn, you can hear his wolf howls on the moors when there's a full moon.

Funny stuff Demon. Actually I hear he's quite introverted, especially when he's recognized as "Tex."

I find that strangely ironic. One would think he's an extroverted person because you'd have to be to cast yourself in a starring role of a game that you made. I think it's kinda cute now he just wants to hide out from people. haha.

I've always thought of myself as having a decently low-key reaction to celebrities I've met (and there have been very few, so it's a really small sample size). However, I'm not sure I'd come across as low-key if I saw Chris Jones and tried to tell him that I think Tex Murphy is possibly the greatest thing ever and I have a signed photo of him hanging in my office. I think I'd probably come across as stalkerish.

I'm a low key person too, but I think if I saw him I'd probably start jumping up and down and scream a little bit.
After that I'd calm down and tell him that I think he's a wonderful game developer.
