Kewl deal... I may have gotten us a New Tex Fan as well... I was X-Mas shopping at my local Gamestop and while me and 2 of the employees were BSing I talking about Tex... The one was old enough to remember it, but the younger one seemed very intrigued and I told him about GOG... On top of that he had never heard of GOG either, so on top of getting a New Tex Fan I got GOG a new customer... Possibly 2, because the other guy seemed interested in playing Tex again...

My #2 son (don't go there as I am still recovering from my last explanation) stopped by yesterday and we DL the 3 Tex games. I might do the same for Syberia I & II but I am not sure what other games I would like to play. I do not care for Action games; adventure is more my style. Any recommendations?

BTW, #2 was able to get TLJ working on my terrific NEW computer.

Did you ever play Grim Fandango, Jim?

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
That sale looks very tempting but I am gonna wait and buy them once the sale is over, after all I want to support them, I do hope that people who weren't necessarily going to buy the tex games change their mind for this sale though.

no point really waiting igloop as the tex murphy creators only get a couple of dollars from the sale so buying them now or later really makes no difference in the amount they receive from gog.

Other Adventure games on sale right now on GOG (either in the Christmas sale or in their own sale e.g. Simon games seem to be in their own little sale) I'd reccomend are:
Simon the Sorceror 1 ($2.99), Simon the Sorceror 2 ($2.99), Gobliins 1 - 3 ($4.19).

Those are the 3 I picked up. Some I've heard are good:
Broken Sword series, Longest Journey.

Oh yeah and if you've never picked it up before, Beneath a Steel Sky is always free on GOG. It was originally available for cheap when it was first released (I have a old boxed copy hiding somewhere) then the developers for some reason made it free. Its very good quality.

Thanks, Sai. I think I might try broken Sword as that seems to be a popular series among our fellow Tex fans.

I just bought broken sword 1-3. Good I love the AU dollar at the moment only about 50c difference.

It will probably stay that way a while longer too, in fact it will probably even get better... We are doing nothing but digging our grave even deeper over here...

I heard an analyst not too long ago say if China and all other countries came to Foreclose on the US they could own from the Mississippi River Westward, that's how badly we owe the world... And we aren't doing anything to make any of it better, so our dollar is just going to drown...
