UAKM OSX No CDROM problem

Hi folks.

I've recently bought UAKM from GOG, but I cannot get it to run on my MacBook.

When I try to run the game in Dosbox, I get the error message "No CDROM available, aborting game."

All the files come in a single directory from GOG, so does anyone know how to run it without CDROM in dosbox?

Thanks!

Andy
Now I'm not an expert, but I found this in a thread somewhere.

"And anyone who likes adventure games but doesn't own Under a Killing Moon no longer has any excuse. Even Mac/Linux users can play, so long as you have a Windows machine/partition/VM to do the initial install. Just copy it across and use Boxer or the regular DosBox distribution and run with that." (and yes this is him talking about the GOG.com version)

I'm not exactly positive what these directions mean, but I know there is a way to run it on a macbook. I'm guessing that tracking down a Mac copy of the original UAKM is out of the question for you? Hope I could help, if I find out more I'll let you know.
I'd go to GOG and post your problem to them... To my understanding with the GOG games, all you have to do is Download, run the Install file and you should be able to play... I haven't heard of this No CD-ROM problem before...

Are you using the Icon the Install made for you or are you trying to run it through a separate Dosbox window??? The game comes with Dosbox already integrated into the files, so Dosbox in a sense isn't really needed...

it can be either of two things,

1.sometimes you simply need to put a cd in your drive any cd as there is an instruction in dos box to mount a cd & it cannot mount unless the is a cd to mount.

2. go into gog folder & look for dosboxtex3.config file(you open in notepad) and check the image mount drive letters down at the end of the file, it maybe not the same as your cd letter. change it & save file. You may have to open as administrator on some systems.
