Anyone played this yet.. it looks really crap lol. It looks like a game from the early 1990s but was released November last year. Stars nearly everyone from Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Probably worth checking out if you're into horrible FMV games lol. But hey if a company like this can pull it off, I don't see why Big Finish can't.

I've seen worse, but I've seen much better too... I might give it a whirl just to feel the Nostalgia from it... But yeah I agree if something like this can be thrown together, no reason why Tex can't return... They better do it soon though, before some of the characters look too old for their part...

Well hey didn't affect Jeff Bridges now did it? granted Clue looked pretty crap as the film went on.. but still, they can try some things, Chris' voice abilities are still very much the way they've always been as is the case with his acting. Even still, doing a complete computer graphics version like the Tell Tale games wouldn't be so bad either.

The game design for Darkstar is pretty dreadful. I think this is where Tex would really succeed where this game completely fails. The fact that a company has at least attempted it is still worth consideration however, it means that the industry isn't as shallow towards FMV games as we originally had thought.
I've always felt that FMV pulls you into the game more... I guess maybe it is something to do with interacting with REAL people and not Cartoon mock ups...

I remember the first time I played Wing Commander III, I was like 14 or 15 and when they killed Mark Hamill's girlfriend, I almost felt like it was my girlfriend who just died...

Like I said, it's just something about having Real People in the game that just draws you into their world... I would love for Tex to come back as we've always known him... But if they end up having to go the route of animation, I won't be upset about it... I think we have maybe another 5 to 8 years before some of the regulars appear too old for the part they are suppose to be playing... But then again it is amazing what makeup artists can do in the film industry... So who knows...

But no matter how we look at it, everything boils down to Money... Having the funds to do the game, no matter which way they do it, is the most important part... And sadly in this economy it is hard to pull that kind of cash together... What Chris and Aaron need is a Rich Silent Partner to show up out of the shadows...

I hate money.

The fact that lack of it can hinder so many things pisses me off.

I'm going to get this game.

Quite frankly, it doesn't look that bad to me at all.

Hell, it'll be like traveling back in time.

I guess the game was actually started about nine years ago. Peter Graves ("Mission Impossible") is the narrator and he isn't even alive anymore.

I'm gettin' it.

That's what I said, I'll probably play it just for the Nostalgia feeling of it...

Can't say one way or another whether I'll like it or not... The trailer didn't really show all that much... It was too busy flying around scrolling credits at you... They didn't show much of the game play or interface at all...

I watched the trailers and the game looks alright to me. Course, I'm not exactly a game expert, but I like the look of it and the story seems interesting enough. Is the game available only from the web or is it available in any stores?

Jim,

I think you'll have to order it online. No downloading or finding this one at gamespot.
well my biggest concern with the game is that it looks really really slow when you move around, also noticed that character interactions are a bit rare in this game so it is essentially as people have been calling it "Not as good as Myst, in Space"
