Finally! I have a job!

After 13 months of unemployment, I have rejoined the workforce. I was laid off in December of '09 as part of a reduction in force. Next week I start my new job, and I believe it's pretty damn well the perfect job. It's what I was doing in my old job during the most rewarding and happy years. I'll be managing a group of analysts doing business application support.

It's been a rough 13 months. It's really tough out there. But perseverence, watching Careerbuilder and doing a bit of networking did the trick.

Wanted to share my joy, relief, and excitement with my friends.
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
I'm glad to hear it Gary! Let us know how it is after a while on the job, too, eh?

Congratulations dude. 13 months? how were you able to stay sane? i start to get a bit mental after a month or so. best of luck to you.
They say if you love what you do then you aren't really working... So going off that I can say that I haven't worked in about 8 years... :D
