Google Chrome Vs. Firefox

I'm quickly becoming a fan of Google Chrome as my browser. I have been using Firefox as well (and IE when I have to). I'm interested in your opinions, pros and cons, about Chrome and Firefox. Help me to decide which should be my default browser.

Be as Chrome- or Firefox-bigoted as you like. :)

(or IE-bigoted too, but I think there's none of you out there)
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
LOVE CHROME! I don't use anything else. It's speedy, stable, and rock solid.

IE is used for opening up once to download a better browser.
I use Firefox. It's great. I love it.

At work, I have to use IE which is acceptable but not thrilling.

I like all the additions you can add to firefox.

Adblocker, flashblocker, weather program, bookmark syncing etc.

I just like firefox.

I used chrome when it first came out but found a few web sites I used didn't run on chrome, which they still have that Problem. I mainly use IE but when version 9 comes out of beta I will certainly be using it as its great. It has a 32 & 64 bit versions.
I do have firefox installed but rarely use it these days.

I don't use chrome becuase as a developer of web content it is not as polished as it could be yet, and it does not have as many developer tool available to monitor content and performance. It's also lacks a lot of functionality which that others have, which makes it impractical for me to use, regardless of how "fast" it may seem.

We have a saying here in the development circle when it comes to web browsers: If it looks good in FireFox, it means it looks great it everything. If it looks good in Chrome, it means you're doing something very wrong!

I have NOT used or tried Chrome but I use Firefox 90% of the time. Like Lynne, there are a couple of websites I visit for my work and they load better on IE, so, I use that when I have to.

Funny you mention that. I just deleted the shortcuts to Firefox off my PC. How's that for an opinion? I think it was responsible for some spyware that probably caused the problem I posted in the tech board.

No browser is malware proof. It all boils down to user vigilance, and a lack of it usually results in problems. What you said is like saying "the gun was responsible for the murder and not the person holding it", but at the end of the day it all boils down to responsibility, and accountability when consequences result.

I use a combination of Firefox and Chrome because I find these two tend to work well with each other, example, say there's a webpage that loads slow in Firefox, well Chrome will load it much faster, but in many cases there's sites that Chrome loads really slowly that Firefox can load fast.

Compare this to Opera and Internet Explorer and there's no comparison, IE is slow as $#it, Opera's UI is a nightmare. But I always keep a backup browser on my PC just in case one doesn't work.
I used to love Opera. But then it started giving me trouble with flashbased things, and then youtube quit on me. That was when I went over to Firefox. I've seen Chrome, and I don't feel the UI. So I'm sticking with Firefox until it dies on me or something better comes along.

Everytime my antvirus software gets flagged it happens when I'm on Firefox. The viruses are so bad I have to do research and manually disable them. The last time it happened all I was doing was checking out something on YouTube. I think I'm doing the responsible by discontinuing the software.

Interesting theory, considering 99% of all viruses are obtained on the web, and FireFox is a WEB broswer. Did you also know that every time MY antivirus software is flagged I am using a computer!? Thanks to your logic I have found the solution: from now on I will browse the internet with my computer switched off.
