Conspiracies II Lethal Networks now available for PreOrder

The long awaited Conspiracies II is now ready to order! To buy it simply go to http://www.anima-ppd.com/. I found the voice dubbing and some of the puzzles in the last game a little cheezy. But having said that it's FMV so I think any adventure gamer should check this new game out.

I've got the first game actually. Whenever I think of it, I think of a boom mike over the actors heads. No joke, you actually get to see it.

'Bout time! I thought it had become vaporware. I'm surprised they haven't given up, and I mean that in a good way. I just hope there'll be English subtitles this time, not like in the original Conspiracies.

I love the front cover poster... you know, the one with the images that look like they were taken on a mobile phone.

Is that the same one they recorded the English dubs on?

I myself thought the project might be abandoned. So is anyone here going to buy it?

I know it seems harsh, but frankly, if you had to prove the sub-par quality of Interactive Movies, i'd have the first Conspiracies game lined up as evidence. Sorry to repeat myself, but, the poor acting, ordinary plot, abysmal graphics, English voice overs (as it is a Greek production) that don't sync properly or reflect the characters just hammer the nails into the coffin on its own. Once again, you can see a boom mic in one of the movie sequences!

I know i've milked that last point more than enough, but seriously, how could you screw that up? Can you imagine how Christian Bale would react?

It's extremely well drawn, i'll give them that. The in-game environment looks fantastic, like an FPS without guns. But they still haven't got the dubs right and the entire cast still look like they're participating in a student run Theatre Sports theme night. What's frustrating is that this game has the potential to be absolutely amazing and possibly help restore faith in the genre.

But like a lot of other games in the genre, there's a thread of consistency lacking in the quality of the components: that is great environment, terrible cinematics and acting. But this is typical of the genre. Sometimes you have amazing cinematics and acting but somewhere along the way the developers forget to sharpen up the gameplay or add enough of it at all.

It's just a balance they've very rarely achieved.

That's what always made the TM series fantastic. It was consistently top-notch in quality. The trouble with games like Conspiracies is you can tell half the time the whiz-bang stuff the 3D designers have done are straight out of a free online tutorial, haha.

lol true. But I don't think they're entirely to blame. It all comes down to budget as evidenced by the production standard of the FMV in Conspiracies. I mean, if the likes of Activision or EA were to produce this title, can you imagine the cast and crew they'd have on board along with the interface they'd make for the game?

I've bought the game so I can give a review on it later. At the least I'm supporting both FMV and the adventure genre.

Jeez I remember coming across this in a shop that did not really just focus on selling pc games for example you could even buy a bouncy ball there, but I was very interested to see an real actor game that had not heard of, but as soon as played it acting, graphics, where a bad as the unfunny jokes through out the game, I did however play the game through many nasty dodgy unpredictable graphics, where did the company get the money to make a sequel It is a mystery I think.

I'm interested to read what you said, but unfortunately part of you reply seems to be cut off.
