Tex books

First, I want to apologize for my English, who is not really good, but I want to share some thoughts.

I've just finished the pandora directive novel, and it was amazing, I loved every word of it! The strangest thing was to read this well known story in a « linear » version since I usually play the game in a totally chaotic order.
Sadly, it's impossible to find a copy of under a killing moon at a decent price on the web. I think I'll have to print it, or to read it on my computer. Do you think that we should ask Aaron Conners to make a new edition (if he have the rights?), or to produce it by the community (The fabrication of books is not so expensive)?

I know that the « chance » novel is nearly there, and I can't wait to read it. (Almost ten years since the second cliffhanger of the tex murphy radio theater). But the Pandora directive and Under a killing moon needs a second life (And, with special editions signed, it is a way to finance a new tex).

I was also eager to say that, in Europe (France, Belgium), some medias (like books or Cd's) are financed by the fan's. For example, a famous singer that I don't like in France (Grégoire) has is first album financed by the public , in Belgium, the first comics financed by fan was published some weeks ago, and more are coming. The method is to make a website and to put a goal to reach, in term of money. People can invest money, and take it back whenever they want (for a small fee). When the goal is reached, people receive the book or the cd, and can earn money if the sales have done well. People who have invested a lot of money have things like signed shirts, limited editions, collectors etc... So, for the true fan's, it's a « win win » investment.

Although I'm a jurist, I don't know how they are making this work (legally speaking), but I think it could be a way to resurrect tex (If you want me to make some research, it's possible)! I'm sure a lot of fan's are willing to invest money (although they don't have a return) for a new tex.

If you want some examples of websites, I can put them here, but unfortunately, it is in french.

I hope my writing is not too bad. I love this board, and I'm reading it very often!

I've already asked Aaron Conners to think about re-releasing his books in ebook format. He is also working on a Tex Murphy novel so something good might be coming our way.

So glad you brought that up dkbtf! I would love for there to be a new "official" version, whether an ebook or a paper copy.

Course I just thought about a nice trade size paperback or spiral. Would love that!
