THE WEDDING
Sadly Will and Kate choose the same day as the Shuttle Launch so I'm stuck at work. Thanks to the internet I'm sure I'll get to see it later. No doubt people will be talking about it for a while. I am so curious to see her wedding dress.

I avoided it as much as I could. It's not that I have anything against, well, any of it, really. It's more that I hate being flooded with news and information about any single event through the news media.
I did manage to see the holy cartwheel, though.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Am I the only male on the planet that actually watched it and enjoyed it?... lol
I don't understand why guys think royal weddings are lame, you've got 1000s of soldiers all carrying M16 Assault Rifles which are ARMED with real rounds, plus they've got bayonets, everyone attending who served in the military were all wearing Victorian era military uniforms, was fun actually looking at the uniforms due to the era they're from.
You've then got the royal cavalry guard complete with Victorian era uniforms, all carrying swords. Then you've got the cars, which at the end we were treated to seeing Charle's own car with William driving it. At the very end with the balcony scene you had 2x 1940s Spitfires pride of the British airforce, then you also had the Lancaster Bomber which was an epic sight (even Kate was a bit freaked out by it), then directly over the top 2x F18s plus 2x Tornado Jet Fighters.. and if that wasn't enough at the end they flew over in Williams Helicopter while he was driving his father's car.
How the hell could a guy NOT enjoy that!.. The entire place was loaded with toys!
The only thing the girls gave a crap about was 1. The Dress 2. The Ring 3. Them kissing on the balcony.. big freaking deal, 90% of the bloody telecast was dedicated to the parade.. which was the best parts filled with the toys.
I also really enjoyed the comparison to 1920, 1947, 1980 and now this, it was very much Victorian, you could've sworn it was the Georgian/Edwardian/Victorian era again. On top of this though you do get a good sense of patriotism from viewing something like this, makes you appreciate the monarch more.

I managed to watch that directly after the wedding live from Nasa. Was a bit sad to see this being the second to last shuttle ever. It was a big day though. Ending it with a space shuttle launch was great I feel, so much epic filled into one day.Sadly Will and Kate choose the same day as the Shuttle Launch so I'm stuck at work.

Umm did you miss the part where we didn't launch? Last I heard we are attempting it again next week.
