Ebay is FUN

Err... I hope no one thinks this is in anyway unusual behavior, but I ... err... just put in bids for a Gravis Ultrasound, a Soundblaster AWE32, and a Yamaha DB50XG daughterboard.

I think I'm going mad or something. Maybe it's Christmas coming or something but I'm not characteristically this self-indulgent (or spendy). I'd already decided to buy most people's presents tomorrow, so maybe it's a case of expensive selfless shopping = equally expensive selfish shopping.
I've only ever used ebay once before - to get the first Carmageddon game as nowhere else sold it, and now i bid for 2 OLD soundcards (2.5 including the Yamaha) in one go.

Am I losing it?

I made my first ever eBay purchases recently, but I'll be trying to keep that place as a *last* resort. As tempting as it may be. There's always the extra risks/scams and so on and, of course, its easy to get addicted :?
You probably got some good bargains however, but I'd keep an eye on things :D
Hope you enjoy what you bought! :)

That's the part I was wary of when I signed up.
...I just never considered the addiction bit!

Here I go again... MT-32 please! 8)

I love Ebay and use it regularly. Great deals to be had there.
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
My eBay was hacked last year. The hacker started making bids on things like silicone implants and burned dvds of gay porn.

I've stayed away from that site since then.
The last thing I bought off Ebay was a copy of Overseer...

Actually, I did not buy it off Ebay... seeing as the price was a little steep I contacted the seller and asked if they had anymore copies... and if so would they not mind selling me one outside of the auction, explaining to them that conversaion rates would kill me in the bidding.

They agreed! :D

As for other Tex Murphy products, with Jim TOG who needs Ebay! Or should I say: eTOG?

yeah, ebay is a great place for old games. I've gotten some gems off there. In fact, i should probably check it out cause the copy of UaKM i bought off there last time had corroded CDs. Boy did he get a nasty review.
Oh man I hate corroded CDs! Which reminds me... i'd better make some copies of my TM games just in case.

1 down, 3 to go!

Just won my shiny old Roland MT-32 and it's on its way! £36 in the end. Should get here by the end of the week.

Next, the Yamaha board and AWE32 - auctions close Thursday afternoon.

Finally, the Ultrasound auction closes Thursday night.
