Carrying Tex Fandom a Little Too Far
So I just realized something the other day, I am pretty much living the same lifestyle as Tex without the PI part. Analyzing my life I realized that:
- I sleep on a couch in my office.
- Office/home architecture circa the 1940's.
- Have little money between gigs (or cases.)
- Own a fedora and trench coat (just coincidence.)
- Live in the 21st century.
- Rely on cans of food of questionable quality for sustenance.
- Both know an attractive blonde named Chelsea who works with books (librarian.)
- Have a taste for the hard liquors.
- Have to do a lot of research to complete a gig (or case.)
- Major accomplishments largely go unnoticed when a job is well done.
I'm sure there are more that I am missing but I think there are too many coincidences between my life and the life of a fictional character than should be for a real life person. Not that I am really gonna do anything about it but, you know, just interesting.
