Bad week

Okay, I am completely venting here, so feel free to ignore this thread.

Wednesday my law partner and the person I consider to be my mentor lost his battle with leukemia and died.

Thursday we had to put our dog down.

Today we decided to take the kids out to lunch. My wife was driving. On the way to the restaurant a car traveling in the opposite direction cross the centerline and hit our car and then drove off. Luckily my wife was able to steer our car onto the shoulder as the other car approached, so we were all okay and the damage wasn't too bad. But, I am just angry that the other driver never stopped. We weren't able to get his tag number, so I doubt the police will ever find him, but we made a police report anyway just in case.

Anyway; here's to next week being better.
Ouch man, that totally sucks. Glad everyone was safe with the car in the end... I don't think anybody wanted a 3rd death in that story. Hope you're all coping well, and doing ok.

sorry to hear about your bad week jason, reading your post my first thought was " were you more upset by your dog dying or your business partner."

sorry about your car but even more happier that you are still safe.

That's awful that jerk didn't stop to see if he had hurt you guys. I'm sorry to hear things have been so sucky for you lately. I hope things get better. The best we can do is give you a big mental "hug" long distance.

Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.
I'm sorry for your loss.

You and your family survived. Brush with disaster aside, I'd say that's a sign things are already turning for the better.

Of course, it would be better to not have the brush at all. But at least you all know you're alive.

And I mean know.

Special knowledge, that.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Thanks for the support, guys. I feel a bit like I'm whining, but after yesterday's incident I just thought, "Really? This too." I felt a bit overwhelmed. But, life marches on. And, it's great to know I have great friends like you.

Got that right. We definitely became a lot more aware of our existence on this mortal coil.
I hope you are doing better. Love and hugs for the "upswing".
