Hey, gang. Long time, no lurk.
I recently started up a sketch comedy website, and one of the recurring shows is called The Save Files, a retro-gaming review show centered around my fondest (or most hated) gaming memories. For my third episode, I had to talk about Tex Murphy. I spent a lot of time and effort on this ep, more than usual, because Tex means a lot to me, and as long as I live, I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing the games.
You can check the video out - as well as the others - on my website:

Even though I didn't really use any of the resources here, I made sure to include a shout-out to UTM in the ending credits. This site, and the community here, have been godsends over the years, and it didn't seem right to leave you guys out.
Hope you enjoy the video. Be well, my friends.
Aaron

Very nice
The voiceover joke worked well, and a nice look at everything. Good luck with the internet videos. A lot of my time these days is spent watching internet review and sketch shows these days so definitely keep it up!
Pantsless shorts... priceless.

Very very well done mate! I enjoyed every minute of it! Especially the "homage" to the Overseer cliffhanger at the end!! "Worser? What does that even mean!!??". hahaha. Keep it up man. Can't wait for the individual save files for each game.
Let me know if you need any resources and materials for your clips. I have plenty... believe me!

"what was that character's name"
Richard Deckard.. lol well I mean it is easy to confuse the two given that Tex is based on Deckard from Blade Runner. Westwood made a Blade Runner game (which I strongly recommend looking into) though Deckard was not the main character.
You're lucky that you beat Spoony to doing this series. I suspect he's going to be pretty harsh when he finally gets around to doing it. He specifically mentioned he hated the series for some reason (I'd say its more a general reaction to him hating FMV games in general).
I can't say I'm a fan of the echo, I feel like it went on for too long, it would've been wise to put some breaks in between the internal thinking and talking with others, like pretty much have another person come in and talk about the game or talk to the audience and then have the thought dialog in there after that. You manage to do this at 2 points in the video.. but I feel it needed more of those very subtle breaks in between. Else it sounds like You're thinking an entire essay..
but the rest of the review was pretty solid of the 3 CD games- it covered enough ground to be fairly informative... if a bit bias. (there has been many criticism of the series, you managed to get a general idea of Overseer but neglected the point out that for years reviewers had a problem with both UAKM and Pandora's UI which Chris designed. This impacted on Overseer really badly which is why Overseer has a completely different UI- they tried to fix it.. but I feel made it a hell of a lot worse.)
Some small fun facts about the games like James Earl Jone's involvement and how he came to work on the project would have been cool. I like those sorts of things in reviews.
Pretty good for someone without the kind of funding that Channel Awesome gets.
