Launch Pics
Hi Guys,
I finally got some pics back from working the last shuttle launch on July 8th.
Here are couple of me working from the mission control room.

I made sure to bring a little piece of Tex along with me.

Here's one of me on the launch pad after our inspection of the vehicle.

It was fun and a little sad. Time to move onto to other things.

Awesome! You've been a part of humanity's venture into space. That's nothing to scoff at, any day of the week.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Wouldn't surprise me if this was the game they usually played lolWhile pics 1 and 3 are both highly professional, I can't help but think that on picture 2 they just caught you playing space invaders.

Honestly, this game is so god damn hard to fly.. I mean I can get into space and everything.. but good luck getting the damn thing to come apart and dock with the ISS.. ARRG! lol
Really good game for its time, reminds me a lot of the flight sim that was in Mean Streets. Yeah the link is for an Abandoned Ware site but I honestly doubt GOG.com will be putting this one up any time soon. It'd be nice to seem them add the old Virgin games in though.
Ah well, at least Nasa exists in digital form. Guess we can play this and think back nostalgically on better days.
That is soo cool! I used to work in a factory just outside of the Promintory point facility where they would build those huge orange fuel cells. It was very interesting to see them test 'em. I cant imagine how awesome it would have been to work where you work (or worked considering the grounding of the space shuttle program
) I hope you didn't get laid off!
No luckily I transferred to Boeing's Airplane Division so I avoided the axe. Some of my colleagues did get laid off, decided to retire, and some moved onto other industries. There's a lot of shuffling around now that folks try to figure out what they want to do next.
