Well here I sit in a Starbucks abusing their courtesy in terms of using their electricity/internet for my $2 coffee, when all of a sudden I happen to randomly encounter someone who is also a Tex Murphy fan. This is the ONLY other Tex fan that I have ever met in person. I was introduced to Tex in 1994 via a free CD in a magazine and since that time have not encountered ONE person that has played any Tex game that I didn't personally introduce to the series. It only took 17 years but I finally ran into another fan. Anyway I thought I should share that even in dark times a little bit of Tex can brighten your day.
In my area (Southwest Indiana/Northwestern Kentucky) there are only 2 people I have known to be a Tex fan....myself...and my friend Steve. That's it.

I went in to ask a couple questions about some games my Son was interested in and then the conversation just spiraled... And I ended up bringing up Tex and one of the guys behind the counter just started going on and on and kept wishing he could play it again, this was back around when GOG first put the series out, so of course I spread the info to him, hopefully he purchased it... Told him about the website too, but I'm not sure if he has come on here or not...
But like most everyone here it seems, I've never met another fan...

The only one I have met was an actress that I was working with. We were shooting inside my house and she saw UAKM sitting on one of my book shelf. After working with her for a couple of days, we found a new connection. It was crazy.
