Unofficial Tex Murphy

I got the inspiration for this book years ago from a song. I don't want to tell you the song just yet, because it will ruin the surprise of the story I have created around the song.

Did that confuse anyone? It confused me. Anyhoo....I've had this idea in my head for about 12 years, and I've finally decided to put the words down in print. So, everyday, on my break at work, I type on the notepad on my iphone. I'm currently working on Chapter 10 right now. At the rate I'm going, it's going to be 20 plus chapters. I've been copying the files to my computer in Word Pad....each chapter has been averaging between 6 to 10 pages long in Word Pad. So, it'll be a pretty long book.

Guess I was just posting to get some positive encouragement from all you brilliant writers on the board so I can keep my motivation to get the story done. When it's complete, I promise to share with all of you.

That's so funny you say that... That's how I got the idea for my novel as well... I use to make a drive every week or so between here and the shore and I would listen to the same song, among many others on every trip, just somehow that song worked its way into the mix...
Now my song and my story have nothing to do with one another, but for me they are connected in a way... It's just the song somehow put the idea in my head and I crafted a lot of it during those car rides...


Can you at least give us a basic rundown of what the story is about??? Action, Adventure, Romance, Drama, Comedy, Horror, etc??? Anything else???

I do kind of like you, except I just talk into my phone and record my thoughts and put them to paper later instead of trying to type them out on the memo pad... Kind of like carrying a Dictaphone in the older days...
