I just finished watching the 3rd season of Dexter again. My girlfriend hadn't seen it yet, so we finished it this morning watching the last 5 episodes....(I love lazy sunday mornings).
Still haven't seen 4 or 5 yet, but watched season 6 recently as well. Don't worry about spoilers, my friends. I already read up on the seasons so I know what's up.
Borrowed season 4 from a friend and may start on it tonight.
Anyone else on the board fans of this show? I'm like a crack addict when it comes to it....

Yep. Dexter devotee here. Season 4 and season 1 was my fav. Read all of the books except one. Book 3 I believe was in a different vein than the others so skipped that.

I absolutely loved the first four seasons of Dexter. Each season was absolutely fantastic and seasons 1-4 are among the best I've ever seen on TV. At the same time I have to say that I was incredibly disappointed by season 5. The script was simply lousy and after season 4 ended with such a memorable shock I simply would have expected a lot more. Haven't seen season 6, but I heard a lot of bad things about it on Facebook. Seems like the brilliant Dexter days are over. But at the same time that doesen't change anything about the quality of the first four seasons.

I didn't like season 5 at all, but season 6 picked up the pieces and headed back towards it's roots again.
My favorite seasons however, are the first three. Of those, I can't help but feel the 2nd one was the best.
Fun trivia: Did you know the chick who plays Lilah in season 2 (the british girl) is the daughter of the guy who voices Captain Price in the Call of Duty series? True story.

Fred, you are a fountain of knowledge, I swear.
We just finished watching season 4 tonight, and I must say, I was impressed. I haven't seen season 5 yet, so I can't comment on it. I love all of the seasons that I have seen for individual reasons. Season 6 was brilliant in my opinion, but you cannot overlook the performance of John Lithgow as the Trinity Killer in season 4. He is so damn creepy and good and evil and terrifying and brilliant all wrapped in one. Season 4 started off slow and for me didn't really get going till around episode 3 or 4..but once it got going, snowball effect.
I love season 1, obviously, because it's the beginning. Season 2 is great because you get to see Dexter trying to juggle his facade and his dark passenger. I like season 3 a lot because you get to see Dexter trying to relate his inner demons to someone who seems to understand him. and Season 6...wow.....amazing storyline and great ending. Cannot wait till the next season comes on.
