since you guys are so talented I was wondering if anyone could setup a count down to 15th may, maybe a clock or a timer.
I am sure james could do a sticky for the clock.

Good idea. But it should probably be on the homepage of this website and on texmurphy.com for more exposure outside forum members like the Jane kickstarter did. But probably closer to the date maybe? The complicated thing is would have to judge where the viewer is located and add or subtract time based on their timezone to be accurate. The Jane kickstarter clock seemed broken as it counted down to 0 in GMT before the actual time it was supposed to.

darn,
I forgot about the time zone's, but since kickstarter would be based on usa time we could use that time. Oh right now we pacific time & mountain good lord how complicated.
Well how about a date counter that counts down the days, I can picture something in red like a bomb counting down to blast off.

Its a great idea! I've seen widgets on the web that could work nicely. I can't embed here, or I would have showed you one I came across.

Made this with one of those "ticker" sites. Chose what looks like a bourbon bottle icon as the thing that moves along and GMT-8 for the timezone (Pacific or something).
It's just an image you embed and the ticker server updates the image I think so it can be added to forum signatures etc.: alterna-tickers.com/tickers/generated_tickers/5/5087bnhpf.png
There are many other ticker sites you can make your own with with different graphics etc.

I think either a flash or HTML5 (preferable) based countdown time, synced with the time zone where KickStarter operates, appearing on the homepage of Big Finish AND Project Fedora is a fantastic idea! In face, mate I am working with, who does not even know a whole lot about Tex suggested it when I told him about the campaign.

Yeah I think tickers are OK for forum sigs or blogs etc. but something professional-looking would be better for the Big Finnish, Project Fedora and Unofficial Tex Murphy homepages.
Something simple yet striking like this might work:

I know it's anti-hydrogen I just consider it accurate to call it hydrogen because its basis seems to be connected to it's relationship to hydrogen.

yes yes exactly what I meant, I sure james could add it to the front page with a kick starter banner.

A countdown clock would be pretty kewl... I wonder if James could put it at the top of the screen with the GOG Advertisement... Maybe shift the GOG Ad over to the left and then put the Clock on the right...
