Tex Murphy logo questions

If noone has it I could see how an autotrace in Inkscape fairs. Its a free vector software that can save as a SVG.

Actually, the place I found asks for the picture in jpeg format. I grabbed the wallpaper from fan art section and fiddled with colour effects to get a black silhouette on white. That would certainly be high enough resolution for a Zippo-sized smooth image. Now, to decide whether to add the name on it as well...

edit: Now my next question would be, what exactly is the font used for "Tex Murphy" on the cover of Overseer and the name of this site? *saves the image and heads to one of those sites that do font recognition*

edit: And the crystal ball says the font is Skyline Bold Condensed.

more edit: Based on my measurements, the initials are roughly 111,5% of the size of the rest of the name.

Nice work Cubase. I should probably add those box covers to my flyers/poster for better quality when I get chance. I had just been using the ones from the Project Fedora website as I couldn't find better ones on Google.

All right, I've got a black and white image now with the silhouette and text. I sent it to online store for a preview image of how the lighter would look. I'll post it here as soon as I get a reply.

how about driving around town with a tex murphy picture on a flag attached to the car.

That would be much easier if I had a car.

After some correspondence about the placement and proportions, I'd say this looks perfect now!

Couldn't agree more, I love Zippos and have well over 5 dozen in my collection, would love to add a Tex Zippo...

AC or CJ should contact Zippo and see what the pricing for it would be and then decide which Reward Level it should go in...

Most decorative Zippos go for $20 to $40 usually, though there are some that are collector items and go for more, sometimes much more... I've got a couple of Zippos in my collection that could/would fetch around $150 or more on eBay...

Anyway, depending on the cost, they could do maybe a batch of 100 and after those 100 are gone then that's it... Maybe make it the $100 or $150 donate level, the first 100 people to donate that specific amount can choose the Zippo as their reward...

I created a Custom Zippo on their site and it came out to $34.90... I'm sure if they placed a larger order they would get a discount of some kind... But all I did was place the Silhouette Image on a Black Lighter, looks really good though... I'm gonna wait to see if they make a Zippo one of their Rewards, if not then I think I'm gonna go ahead and design this Lighter and order it...



Not sure if this Image Link will work since I'm not placing the order it may end up being removed... But I'll keep my order in my Cart and keep the Tab open for awhile, just in case that ends up happening...
