It feels like Christmas Morning
I just picked up The Longest Journey and Grim Fandango today! I've never played either, and I know that I'll be admonished by my fellow adventure game lovers for never having doing so. But, I'm rectifying this now! Rejoice with me as I play to, new found to me, classics.
Oh, and I'll post here if I get stuck, as I'm sure I can get some help from you all

Lol @ Jim!
Actually, you might find it funny to know that a little while back in my local PC game store the guy behind the counter said something similar to me: "Man, I gotta get a life"... I replied, not really thinking straight: "You already have one; it’s just not terribly good".
He failed to find the humour, but I cracked me up!

Yes it is. Second quarter some time.Jerry Dan wrote:Good games both.
Is the sequel to the Longest Journey, Dreamfall, still coming out this spring?
Ragnar is keeping busy directing the voice recordings, and I believe the programmers have most of the game finished enough to start concentrating on bugs, tweaking gameplay etc.
Hey litlkeck, I don't know.litlkeck wrote:Are we playing the "Hey" game? It's one of my favorites.
I've not played Longest Journey either
I played up to a certain point in Grim Fandango and then got stuck and never finished it. But I recently bought it again new/sealed from a seller on Amazon so I'll probably try soon... when I get time (don't have much of that elusive thing called time lately)

Going back up to an earlier comment, I had a funny variation.
Working at Wizards of the Coast (a game store), a woman comes up with an armful of puzzles, cards, chess set, etc.
Asked if she needed anything else, she said distractedly, "I gotta get a Clue", as she walked back over to the family game shelves.
All of us at the counter started busting out laughing, after staring oddly for a second, she realized what she had said. She then of course joked that we needed to get a Life. Alas, we were out of stock.
Christmas in retail... wow, I sure don't miss it!!!!

PS Hey Cub!!! How long has your signature avatar had the flashing eyes? Am I just now noticing how incredibly creepy that is? Gads!!!
PPS Hey All!
Happy holiday!
