1000 Posts - where's my gold watch?

Surely by now i've done enough service on the board to have earned a Fedora, Gold Watch or a free meal at the Brew 'n' Stew. Nah - who needs it, i've got the memories!

I just want to thank everyone for making this place so special. It's a real testament to the work that James does here because without any of the community spirit, I doubt he'd be inspired to keep it running this long. There's certainly been a few TM forums over the years and it's no wonder why this one has lasted the longest.

For my 500 posts thread I went through one by one the people I really get along with but there was always the paranoia of actually forgetting someone. The community has grown since then so you'll appreciate my anxiety here. BUT, aside from James, I also want to thank Cubase. I don't mean to embarrass him, but geographically he's my closest neighbour.

Over the years we've had some great chats, especially back in our school days when we were plotting to take over the world. Since then he's invited me to film projects when filming in Melbourne (which I sadly turned down due to study or work commitments). Point being, he's what we'd call a "top bloke". He's always gone out of his way to make me feel included.

That's not to ignore the company of others because believe me, there are many here who make the difference, but I want to avoid a long thread that runs the risk of overlooking one or two individuals.

Thanks for the memories and here is to the next 1000!

Well, congratulations. One day maybe I'll attain that lofty peak. I'm sure that your watch is in the mail.

They need to include that in the next Tex game. Nah, scratch that, it deserves its own meme.

Thanks everyone :)

I'm tempted to open my coat to show you my fine wares. Watches, that is. Hanging from the inside of my coat. Not anything else that might or might not be hanging on the inside of my coat.

Also, that's actually Baf's role in all this I suspect. He's got twice as many watches as I do. Almost.
