I am looking to upgrade my frankenstein computer with any old parts people are willing to get rid of. I just need them to be better than what I have currently.

Processor and video card are what I am looking for right now.

I currently have a E6600 core 2 duo 2.4 gHz with 4MB of L2 cache..
My motherboard supports up to quad core, although I am willing to take a better core 2 duo.

As for a video card, I have GeForce 7900 GS.
I'd like to have something that supports at least direct X 10.

I am looking to not pay too much only because I eventually want to upgrade to a i5 or i7 with a way better card. It wouldn't be worth it to me to spend a fortune in this case.

But if anybody has anything lying around that works that they are willing to get rid of, I would be willing to take it.

have you checked the online shops as video cards do not cost a real lot these days not a basic one anyway.

I like to build Frankencomputers myself, so I horde all my old computers and spare parts as well...

Have you tried ebay, I see stuff on there all the time...

Haven't had much time to check it out lately.....

Our baby is an extremely difficult one.....

Very cranky all the time.
