Well done Mac in making us hit our goal with that final push - so cool to see those figures and the word 'Funded'!!! Mac, you are The Man!

I have never pressed my f5 key as much as i have in the last month. HUGE congratulations to Chris Jones, Aaron Conners and Adrian Carr for succeeding on their Kickstarter goal to resurrect Tex Murphy.

I imagine a montage of all the posts since the kickstarter started until this very moment ... set to this song .... do it! You'll be glad you did.

Here is one for James before the insanity begins, if we don't say it often enough Thank You for everything over the years. Without you a lot of this would never have happened (would say all of this but you can't keep AC and CJ and TEX down!) Can never express how much I appreciate it all from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU James.

The new era of adventure games is here and Tex Murphy is part of it!!!!

If you are just waking up to this all or coming home form work, whatever it is come join the party with us all in the chat room. Also working on better res shots of the screen grabs but had to shrink them to get them on the board. Will post soon for all the other sentimental romantics out there who want to to keep a memento of the moment.

I can't believe that after all these years Tex is officially coming back. I wish I could say I had "kept the faith," but in all honesty, I had pretty much given up years ago. Of course, I never imagined anything like Kickstarter! I'm so glad I was wrong, and can't wait to be playing a new Tex adventure next year!

Now I have to give some serious consideration to finding a place to re-host my old Tex website (Alcatraz: A Tex Murphy Site). It's quite outdated, but I wouldn't mind putting it back up and modernizing it.

I had some hope the Tex character would return in some form, but I had long, long given up on the notion that there would ever be another "real" Tex Murphy adventure game in the style of the ones we know and love. Like, at least a decade ago.

Even after Double Fine blew up Kickstarter, I didn't think Tex would have the juice for a full sequel. I thought maybe an episodic game and if they made money with it a few more.

But once I saw the actual Kickstarter and the first day they had, I knew it was in the bag. They really ran a perfect campaign.

I need to go to work, but....

What an amazing 12 hours. The support fans have for Tex is unbelievable. And Chris and Aaron have really run an OUTSTANDING campaign. Time for stretch-goals for more story paths and puzzles!
