Tex Murphy with me forever, on a new level

Hey guys... I figure if anyone in the world is going to enjoy this, it'll be the very small group of us left still obsessed with Tex!

Not really here knows who I am outside of my old PenguinsXe badge from the old version of the message board.

At any rate, I'm a musician/song writer etc. I do mostly punk rock and various variations of it ranging from hardcore to somewhat poppy. My last major project with went under this past June (depressing occurance too) was called The Overseer Project. The band name derived from Tex Murphy: Overseer. I took a strong hold to the idea behind the Overlord Project. The idea that someone would forcably control the world with mind control just to achieve world peace. The name of my band came from the idea that this kind of power shouldn't be in anyone's hands, and walah... We had a few politically driven songs but mostly I'd write lyrically out of personal experience.

I realize that punk rock isn't going to be what everyone here enjoys. But, anyone interested in hearing the old band can go here:

With that being said, I went to a tattoo show yesterday afternoon and got my right forearm done. Tex is now with me forever.

And I thought I was dedicated getting a Tex Murphy cake for my birthday. You've just outdone us all mate, true dedication. Dedication hurts, but it pays off. I remember when I got a small dragon on my back, I wanna some day get a much bigger one, but god damn the spine hurts.

I checked out that website... Bloodshot was playing, great work! Well mastered (from what I could decipher from the low quality stream). I also listened to White Light; the start kinda reminded me of Doom for some reason... lol. Which reminds me, I think I have something you and your band might be interested in... swing me a PM when you can and I will fil lyou in. :wink:

BTW, a dear friend of ours gave birth to a girl yesterday. Her name is Jasmine and she and mom are doing quite well. Thought I would use the pic as my new avatar for a while.

Jim, that's easy, all you have to do is let them play the games once :P Also, a good way to start off the new little Tex fan is to ask that the babies name be changed to Tex. I mean, Tex could be a ladies' name, right?
