Chelsee Bando is mutant ?

I think at one stage we even pitched that question to AC... but if I recall, he told us we will have to wait in see.

In other words, she is, but we have no idea what part. Maybe she has special powers like Fitzpatrick, or maybe she has 14 toes. Who knows.

AMC was reading my mind. I immediately thought of the famous James Bond quote from The Man With The Golden Gun: He called it a "superfluous papilla".

if I remember right (feel free to correct me if not)... AC said that we would have to wait and see but that it might not be as monumentous/spectacular as we might think. So perhaps it is just something really tiny and hardly noticable. Akin to a dinky birthmark or a lump the size of a speck of dust! But it would be interesting to see if she is secretly really self-conscious about it regardless and then Tex would have to comfort her (and do a bumbling job of it probably "Come on its so tiny, its ridiculous to make a fuss!" "OH so your'e calling me ridiculous now are you?" but in the end it might bring them closer)
Can't wait to find out though for real! I think even if the 'mutant' aspect itself is small, it will still makr a big turning point for the two in terms of getting to know each other better perhaps.

I think it's more a Beauty & the Beast thing. Her brother Chance is, in a word, ugly. Two words, butt ugly. Chelsee, on the other hand, is a real beauty. Could it be that her mutation is enhanced attractiveness?

Another thing that popped in my mind involves the Radio Theater. Her past self worked for the OSS, right? Well, what's to say that she's not a mutant but posing as one as her cover for a top-secret something? Her mission could have been to keep an eye on Tex to keep him from being captured by his most recent enemy, thereby making their dinner-date the point where they were going to take Tex into a protective custody, thus explaining Tex's speeder being missing & Chelsee's lack of reluctance to get a ride from Dalton. But things don't go as planned, as Dalton is a double-agent, & kidnaps both of them for his real master's nefarious scheme.

Anyway, it's just a thought.

It'll be just like Men In Black. She'll be with Tex on a romantic date, strolling along Chandler Avenue after a quiet dinner for two. They stop to admire the lights of the new city as they gleam over the endless miles of fences into Old San Fransisco.

CHELSEE: "Tex, I think we have known each other long enough, well enough. It's time we laid bare our intimate secrets. Profess to each other the deepest, innermost cores of ourselves, and reveal our private, secret, most special selves to someone we feel is important in our lives..."

TEX: (eagerly) "Yeah...I agree. Let's be reeeaaly open with each other!"

Chelsee walks up to Tex's face and starts undoing her dress down the back.

Tex looks on, enraptured.

Chelsee is revealed to be unziping her entire form and from this feminine ruse steps a 8ft tall cockroach.

TEX: "....oh my hell..."

hahahahaha..... if only.

What a great ending THAT'D be. I think I'd actually be satisfied with that. lol!

In my opinion, Chelsee's mutation is that she is uncommonly beautiful.

My guess is that not even our dear AC has made up his mind what Chelsea's so-called mutation is or will be yet.

But for now I'm guessing the girl's just got the right stuff, you know? She's got MOJO!

Fred Buer, I agree, the finer details possibly haven't yet been put down for this. Wait and see I suppose.

It would be a nice twist if it was more to do with beauty, as I'm sure most would expect the opposite.
