Unofficial Tex Murphy

Does anyone remember where all this info came from? I imagine collated from several sources, but interesting to read.

That info was mainly gathered from references in the games and novels. At some point, I'd like to go through and recheck some of those dates for accuracy, although I think they're all pretty solid for the most part.

Which is kinda disappointing. Tex was married to Sylvia and romped with Rhonda? Bad Tex. I had hoped that Tex's marriage to Sylvia was a quick and painful affair, kind of like ripping off a Band-aid. Doesn't look to be the case.

One point: I thought Tex was already in the Ritz at the time of Martian Memorandum?

Regarding the character of Tex in the earlier days, I think this was when games were really about gameplay instead of story. In the first two games, I see Tex portrayed more as a guy who wasn't down on his luck.

I don't think it's ever specifically mentioned where Tex's office is located in Martian Memorandum, and the interior is different enough from his office at the Ritz that I think it's enough to qualify as a different building. I could be wrong, though – if anyone can prove otherwise, I'd love to know!

It just the similarity in the layout of the office and the arched picture-windows that makes me think it's the Ritz (before Tex converted it into a dance studio, perhaps?).
