G'day gang - here is a recent interview I did [about Tex] for a Spanish website. Chris also answered some questions but his translations haven't been finished yet.

Dalton, it's sure great to know that at least one of the people involved with the creation of the games is as dedicated to the concept as we are. Thanks so much for your interest and hard work!
And there will be many thanks from certain folks on here for your devotion to the idea of FMV. We'll settle for less than that if it means more Tex, but every one of us agrees that FMV is the best way to go.

Dalton,
Good stuff for sure. Thanks for taking the time to post things like this. We love to know what you guys are up to, and that the community is important enough to know as well

Not that there was any doubt!
Thanks,

Hey Melting - No.
I only did the Dalton cameo. No one else was available at the time we shot in Utah and Chris said "why don't you do it - as an Australian?" That's how I coined the phrase "things could get worser" If I recall, the original line was something like "Things could be worse."
I did another cameo, in Pandora, as an Aussie weirdo cab driver but it was cut in the need for disc space. A true gem that hit the cutting room floor.

I would like to see a selection of all deleted scenes from the games in one reel, like a DVD extra. I bet there's some good ones out there if they survive.

I have to say...the 'things could get worser' line is awesome, it wouldnt have been as strong if it had been 'things could be worse'.

Good point, JC. I've always felt that line was significant.

It's great because it wasn't "grammatically perfect." That's what gave it its staying power. It's one of my all-time favorite Tex Moments, for sure.

It's a line that's stayed with us all these years, so I guess it's pretty important.
It's also great to see people doing interviews for foreign magazines. I always have respect for people that go out of their way to do things like that. So many people think the market is so much smaller and won't get involved.

And besides, if I'm not completely off my mark, isn't that famous line also the last line being spoken in the Tex Murphy Saga? At least, before the radio theater, I mean?
Unless you count Tex mouthing 'worser' before getting sedated

Perhaps that line was more than significant; it may have been prophetic (as far as Tex fans are conderned).
Course, we are still keeping the faith and hope to see Tex resurrected in the future.

Believe me gang - we [Chris/Aaron and myself] wanted to create a cliffhanger like Lucas did with Star Wars Episode 5. We had no idea of what was coming - prophetic? Yes, for the fans and the game-makers.
As the years slipped by and the allegance of the fans held firm Chris and Aaron created the Radio Plays to at least give some inkling as to what happend after that 'fatal' ride. Trust me when I say the adventure beyond the radio episodes is extraordinary. Which is one reason we are determined to bring Tex back. We lost several years with the whole MS situation.
I think Dalton should say something like "Things could get betterer"
