Razer Edge: an all in one gaming laptop/pc/console

I've been following the development of this device for a little while and have been mixed given the limited information. But, as of early 2013 the Razer Edge has a lot more to show for itself and it's damn impressive.

In short, think of a gaming tablet with USB 3 outputs, an HDMI connection, running on Windows 8 with a mean set of specs (see below) plus also has capacity for gaming controllers to be used.

There are two models, a base model and a pro model, take a look:

This is the machine I want to experience the new Tex Murphy game on :)
Looks awesome.

However, I plan on playing the next Tex Murphy game just like I always did before: on a desktop PC with a mouse and keyboard, and my yellowed little notebook with my original 1989 Mean Streets notes still in it.
Ah but that's the thing, it can be a PC with a keyboard and mouse! Just plug a monitor into the HDMI port along with a keyboard and mouse into the USB ports and you have your PC.

I must admit though, one major issue that has gone unaddressed is the internal cooling. 8GB of RAM along with 2GB of video is (at least for now) a totally unprecedented load of power for a tablet which means it's literally going to be packing heat. I'd be intrigued and also concerned as to how they're handling ventilation for such a compact device that promises so much power. I really like the sound of this, but i'm also very nervous too. But, if it does everything it promises, then I question whether i'll truly need to pre-order PS4.
