I've seen the ads for it and it looks interesting, but honestly, I haven't had the time to watch.

I am and i think it rocks :) could be because im norwegian, but i think its a cool and realistic depicting of vikings.. even though they raid the east witch mostley the sweeds did however the landscape indicats that its in norway and the raid on Lindesfarm was allsow made by norwegians.
And if im not mistaking the story is based on a sweedish or danish saga (much like Beowolf withc was danish but in the movie thers mountains and we know thers no such thing in Denmark :P)

aaaanywho i think its cool and it looks awesom :)

Just a few days ago it was actually decided that the area of Denmark with the highest hills has now been accepted as a national landmark called Ejer Bjerge (Ejer Mountains) and it's been allowed to put up signs leading to Ejer Bjerge.

But yeah - the funny thing is that they can't be called mountains as the highest hill is only 171 metres above sea level :-)

I've watched a few episodes, and I saw immediately that it was not filmed in Norway. Not enough rocks and pinetrees.

Also I found out due to judicious use of "the googles", as the kids refer to it, that it was indeed filmed entirely in Ireland.

That being said - it's fun and you should give it a look if you like vikings.

There's axe violence. And shield maidens. Who do axe violence.

Yes I've been watching it... Wish it had been on Cable, they could have done a lot more with it, kind of like Spartacus {shame that it ended}... But Vikings is a great show regardless... Keeps you guessing on who is planning what and who will do what...
I was torn a few episodes back when Ragnar was on trial, I wasn't sure if his brother was going to betray him or not... Part of me said "No way, it's his brother", but that conversation with the Earl at the time was quite convincing... Now they are insinuating that Rollo is making plans to take out Ragnar to become Earl himself...
Definitely keeps you guessing...

Rollo is really fishy....
you never know where his loyalties lie.
I am guessing they lie with only what suits him best at the time.

I can't believe the Finale is coming up already... Was really hoping this would last a bit longer... Hopefully they bring it back for another season...

It has already been renewed and is the number one cable show right now with 5 million viewers.

Season 2 won't be here until 2014 =(

Yeah I know it's coming back, but I have to say, I didn't care for the Finale... I think it was poorly written/directed... It was rather boring, the massive deaths back in the home town weren't explained {I suspect poison of some kind}, because if you remember the daughter saying to the mother, "You haven't eaten in 3 days", and then you notice that she didn't end up getting sick, so it makes you think that it had something to do with the food... But who and why or was it just a sickness???

Is Rollo really planning to go against his brother or is he setting this other Earl up??? Ragnar never really gave an answer when he was asked if he would denounce his loyalty to the King, even though it can be assumed that No Answer was in itself an answer...

Now he has to go back home to a town that lost probably around a third of its people, including his own daughter, not too mention he'll be bringing a mistress carrying his child...

It had a lot of Turmoil, but was still on the boring side for a Finale... Left a load of Cliffhangers too... So it better come back... I've seen shows renewed, but then canceled for whatever reason...

Very good show though... It is a nice replacement for Spartacus now that that has been finished, which was Spectacular... Even with having to change the lead character after the first season, it still ended up a truly Great series... If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it...
