NEW MAN OF STEEL TRAILERS!!!
God this movie looks amazing.
It's nice that it is actually cool to be a Superman fan again!
Can wait to see it in the next week or so.

I just went to see this last night, 8pm, Friday night, opening weekend...thought I'd have trouble getting a spot since I showed up 5 minutes before the it started. The theater was empty, the movie was predictable, and the most memorable plot-point was my having to hold my bladder through several unnecessarily long action sequences and ultimately overcoming this obstacle. The VFX were convincing enough, however, through constant camera movement and motion blurring...you can't say something looks fake if you can't really see it. I liked that Lex Luthor wasn't a villain, or that Lois never went though a phase where she didn't recognize Clark 'cause of his "disguise". Michael Shannon emitted enough of his crazy-eyeness for a decent thrill, and backstory was good enough to convince you that Superman almost has enough reason to be as depressed as Batman. In summary, movie is worth seeing in theaters, and you should totally go see it, but save money and don't see it in 3D as it doesn't add much...and don't expect a mind altering experience.

I am surprised that the Theater was empty.... It grossed 125 million since Thursday night making it the biggest opener for Warner, behind the Dark Night Rises and Deathly Hallows 2 and
biggest opening for them that is not a sequel.
That is pretty good.
Anyway, I am not expecting a mind altering experience.
I am expecting an intense action popcorn flick in the later half with some touching moments, as well as a conveying of what Superman stands for, that remind me of why I liked Superman so much as a child in the first half.
From what I heard, the movie is spot on in this regard.
Thanks for the review.

I was utterly displeased with this movie... Guess I'm just a true to heart Reeve's fan... The acting, in my opinion, was sub-par to say the least...
I'm getting really tired of people with no imagination that just keep remaking the Classics when there are so many other things they could be making out there... If you are going to remake something then keep it true to the original, don't go changing the story...
I mean they could be making a Wonder Woman movie or an Aqua-Man movie... Something other than something that has been done over and over again... They are beating a dead horse only because they know people will rush out to see it just because of the name no matter whether it is good or not and it is quite frustrating...
If it hadn't been playing along with World War Z at the Drive-In, I know I wouldn't have paid to see this movie... On that note, I could have probably waited to see WWZ as well... Neither of these movies were really worth paying to see... Could have waited for them to come on Cable...

I thought it was fantastic.
I am a Reeves fan too. I just feel that it needed to be modernized for the new generation.
I know that a Justice League Movie may be in the making and there is no way we could have Reeves play Superman in this movie.... So in order to make that happen, they had to reboot it.
Maybe you will enjoy the sequel better.... If you look at the Dark Knight series, the pattern is that the second movie is always the gem.
I found when I left the movie that it felt like everything was still moving because the action was so fast.
I also found that in the classic, you never really got a sense of how powerful Superman really is.... we definitely got that here.
I was a big fan of the comics in the early 90s too, and I felt this was really true to the comics, more so than the Reeves films.
Anyway, I loved it.
