Unofficial Tex Murphy

Hi all! I am using DOSBox 0.74 and Windows XP, running the game from CDs. The problem is that some options on game menu appear in a strange non understandable font (like japanese or something) and so are the pop up messsages when i select an option. But i.e "LOAD" and "INTRO" appear correctly. The same problem goes for the video subtitles. When i replaced "TEX3.exe" with the 1.97 DOS extender update from the cd, the message pop ups i get when selecting a menu option are fine, but most menu options and video subtitles are still in a strange font. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance...

are the cd's original as this sounds like illegal copies

ukam are cd's only & cannot be played like a dvd.
