So I've not finished the book yet but there seems to me to a possible continuity error

At the end of Chapter 54 Raymond overpowers Fiske, Tex doesn't have the Egg and Ariel approaches.

But at the beginning of Chapter 55 Tex is handcuffed in his speeder, Fiske is back in control of the situation, Tex has the Egg and there's no mention of Ariel

Is the answer coming up or should there be something here to explain this?

Ok, just finished the book. Presumably... Raymond came back with the Egg of Columbus? We don't know where Tex gets it from

Yeah, that's what I assumed but I agree that it's a little unclear.
