Hows the weather there? Is the oceanside as incredible as I've been led to believe?
My husband wanted to go there a while back, but you know the drill: you either have time and no money, or no time and money burning a hole in your pocket. Henever got there. Wanted to play with dolphins I think the idea was.
Maybe we will go one day if we ever get a honeymoon. For him, I'd give it a try. Though I'm more inclined to go to Scotland.

All jokery aside, speaking as someone who's been to Scotland - if you have the choice between Scotland and Australia, it boils down to how terrified you are of spiders. If the little bastards don't worry you none, by all means, choose Australia. It's got a lot more diversity in scenery. And wildlife. And you can go surfing.
Whereas in Glasgow someone was once punched - WHILE HE WAS ON FIRE.
Okay, so maybe all the jokery wasn't fully aside... (Although the above did happen!)
If you do end up going to Scotland, visit some castles, eat some haggis (seriously, it's absolutely delicious!) and drink some proper whisky. But don't ever go to Loch Ness. It's a four and a half hour drive and there's not even a gift shop. I know. I went there. And my Scottish friends told me that "When you get back to the world, Fred, tell them not to come here. Our country's shite!"

yes we have spiders just like any country, but most people who visit australia go to the beaches, & the the opera house. they also travel to the blue mountains which is a day trip.
if you want to see dolphins you need to visit the gold coast which is in queensland. Queensland is popular for the amusement parks, movie world & the australian zoo.
samantha travelled over here & she climbed the harbour bridge. she didn't see any spiders.

Down here in the south, Melbourne, though we do have spiders, they are not all that scary, unless you come across a redback. Australia is very civilised and has a vibrant cultural scene, music, books and art - you name it. Also great coffee and food.

Just out of curiosity, Lynne, does Australia have any equivelants to brawny guys in kilts? Not that I'd see any of that in modern Scotland, but...that's what St. Patrick's Day is all about here in the USA.
