Top Banner

I don't mean to whine, but isn't a new top banner for this site waaayyy past due? :|

If LeMosy doesn't have time for it, can we be given sources to make it from ourselves? I tried to make a new one, but could not blend it with the background properly because the center gradient is hard to cover evenly.

Surely better can be done.
True but we don't know what the box will look like yet (thought probably a lot like the poster I'm guessing)
David
if they put tesla effect box there they will have to state backer exclusive & not available

The Tesla Effect logo is on the right but you can't see it because the picture doesn't fit. The Tesla Effect picture doesn't have to be a box. I just took the box graphics from the big finish site.

My work isn't much good, but I'm hoping that someone can do better. It's been too long.

Actually, "my crappy full size" wasn't crappy to me. You're too hard on yourself.

But plumgas is correct about the messy confusion that might be created with a boxed image. Besides, it shouldn't be long now and some really nice backer who got one will post a picture for us all, right?

James is working on the web site but its still a work in progress.

Maybe they can just put the box cover and not the box itself???

plumgas, if James is too busy, I could take a hi-res photo of my boxed set when it arrives and send it to him.
On that note, any of you know when they might ship em? Was exited after they closed the shipping details, and that is coming up to 2 months ago now.
I don't think even BFG knows exactly when they will ship. Right now, I think it's all hands on deck for the big golf convention coming up. TruGolf is BFG's lifeblood, so they can't scrimp on the convention.
this is the last info from big finish posted on 13th Jan,

I don't have much to report...but a quick update.

This isn't something we normally do in our business...so we've had to learn a couple of things.
For example...it's not as easy to pay for all the shipping as we thought. USPS has limits to how much we can drop on an account at any given time. So we're getting special permission from USPS to let them pull directly from an account--and we're just waiting to hear back.

Addresses are surprisingly specific. A LOT of people don't put their correct city in their address.
(For example: If you put your city as "Salt Lake City" when in reality you are in "West Valley City" --the software will reject the address and ask for correction.)

And for some reason...when transferring addresses over to the label software, the postal codes won't go through from some (but not all) countries.

(I'm sure people that do this all the time, have this down to a science!)

Warehouse is full of Golf...very little room for Tex.
If you can remember pictures of the Green Screen area...only the smallest portion of that area is available for Tex right now. Everything else in the warehouse is absorbed by Golf. (And ultimately that's a good thing for Tex---trust me on that)

Because we have so little room...we may(?) change it up, and ship different incentive levels at different times. We'll update you in email when that happens.

It's getting closer and closer...so stay tuned!

(I know this is a point of frustration for some/many/most of you out there. I understand that. But that frustration should be pointed at those of us here at BFG, please don't take it out on each other.)

Yes, it's a fun, fun, oh terribly fun thing to learn, according to my husband who had the graphic design gig at a local printer's shop for about 5 years before they bancrupted it to buy a wedding for their spoiled daughter. I digress...

I don't know what BFG is using to do this, but the software my husband had to deal with was all code and a bitch if one little thing was not input correctly or if the wrong info was provided. The postal system isn't forgiving either, as this was geared to mass mailings mostly.

Just a thought for consideration.

Mass mailing can indeed be a bitch. For one situation I ended up writing a custom program that parsed the mailing list, flagging anything that didn't fit a specific profile. Those records could then be perused manually to see what was wrong. It was still work, but way way way less than perusing them all manually.
As has been mentioned, I do have a pretty major website update in the works. I can't guarantee any release date at this point, but rest assured that I'm still making as much progress as I can in the small amount of free time that I can scrounge together. :)

It would be here! This morning @ 9am it was 5F. ATM it's 25F. And today is actually a relatively mild day. The forecast high for this week is around 12F, with the lows around -4F.
