The Dreamfall thread
Well, it's out. And reviewers are going crazy. So, yeah, it's gonna be one of those games. Thankfully.
Looking forward to it! Give now!!
Rants, raves, comments, questions and answers - GO!

(ps - the original norwegian voicecaster for the main character is hotter than the pixel-pixie she portrays. Just a lil' sidenote for ya there!)

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Dreamfall is out?!

It's a sequel to TLJ yes. Havn't played it yet (still waiting for my pre-order to ship, in a week), but it's clear it's quite a different game. This was the purpose all along. Ragnar wanted to make a "new" game, rather than a sequel with the same kind of gameplay.
I like The Longest Journey, even though I might not be in love with it like MANY others are. The best thing about it in my opinion is that both the worlds and the characters are really fleshed out. They come alive in a way few games manage to accomplish. I usually don't go for fantasy stuff, but TLJ I got sucked right into. A big reason for this is the excellent and plentiful dialogue. One (in)famous conversation is 10-15 minutes long.
The rest is your usual point and click fare. Some puzzles are good, others just annoying.
