What you think? You think in 15-20 years we'll have Robots in our home or doing our work for us? It's look interesting. They almost look human like.

OH NO WAY!!! You know, actually with the way the US market is, I wouldn't actually doubt that the lower half becomes mobile in 15 to 20 years, and they name it "Candy Suxx" ... I mean .. you know ...DrPaul wrote:Hmmm. It says in the article that their lower half is immobile. For a minute there I was wondering if, well...you know.
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Heh, I do not think that would happen. I think they will have all 4 limbs on lower mobile to be able to bend down 4 parts of the upper leg, the knees, lower legs, and lastly the feet movement.
I give it till 2030- 2070 before we have full available. I dont know if anyone will be alive by the time ROBOTS are fully use for military purpose or non-military purpose like we see on television movies like I'Robot with Will Smith or the Robin William movie where he play as Robot or we may have Terminator like.
I know there a Skylab that existed for U.S Airforce but I dont think its unvolved Terminator like machines but anything can happen.

They can make it look like the most beautiful Asian imaginable, and it'll never be more than a frakkin' toaster.

Too true, Melting. Now if you'll allow me to geek out for a moment:
The "man" version is from Greek aner/andros, meaning chiefly "male" (although occasionally used of a person irrespective of sex). This is the same root from which we get the personal name "Andrew", meaning "man, manly one". (The female name Andrea is thus an etymologically unfortunate derivation.) This root was inherited from its ultimate parent language, Proto-Indo-European, originally in the form of *H2ner-, where H2 = the second laryngeal, a sonorant consonant of unknown precise phonetic character. This consonant shows up only in Greek and Classical Armenian as the vowel a, but elsewhere disappears altogether. The root shows up in the Sanskrit word nara-, of similar meaning to the Greek cognate, and is even inherited by Latin in the personal name Nero. Note: Proto-Indo-European was the parent language of all the other languages mentioned above, as well as of all the Germanic languages. These languages are thus all sisters with a common parent. Proto-Indo-European was not written, so it has been reconstructed through the studies of historical linguists; all cited Indo-European words carry the disclaimer of an asterisk to show that is not attested.
The "woman" version "gynoid" is formed from Greek gyne 'woman', whence "gynecology" and the like. This is derived from the Proto-Indo-European root *gwen 'woman'. This root shows up in Germanic, where it meant originally "woman", and then was later specialized in late Old English to Middle English times to refer only to the king's woman, or "queen" (Old English cwen).

You know, I had a dream some years ago about a fembot something like this. It was a rather erotic dream but quite amazing. The fembot in my dream was programmed exclusively for pleasuring a man. It was amazing.
One of the things I remember was the way she was intensely focused on me. As if I were the only thing in the world and she was tuned-in to my every reaction, no matter how slight. She also seemed to have a sophisticated feedback program with which she would keep adjusting her behavior or actions based on my reactions in order to maximize and sustain the pleasure like something I've never dreamed of before.
I'll tell ya. She was no toaster. She was absolutely fantastic!

I would like to state that my previous post is a direct quote from an episode of Battlestar Galactica, and that it's meaning is to be interpreted as "Screw this, let's go kill some robots."
