Hi Guys,

Long time no post, but I do occasionally check out the board for news.

Anyway, when I learned today of Microsoft offering its Virtual PC as a free download, I instantly thought of Tex Murphy and contemplated the possibilities of playing the old games using this software.

Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/default.mspx to download Virtual PC 4 Sp 1 from Microsoft.

Cheers,

Annie

That's why Microsoft is so hell-bent for virtualization - they want businesses to buy shiny new Windows 2003 servers and run, for example, their business-critical NT 4.0 legacy app that hasn't been updated, in a virtual machine on that server.

That's exactly why they bought Virtual PC from Connectix.

If I'm not mistaken WMware began offering some versions of their software for free last year. Worth checking out as well.

I think because of the overhead of virtualization that running games doesn't work so well. But if anyone has any success, let us know.
