Tex games

The last Tex Murphy game I played ended with the pilot of a taxi shooting Tex and then the screen read, "To be continued..." Is this the last Tex Murphy game or is that Pandora, and I need to play Overseer? :?:
The ending you're describing takes place at the end of Overseer, which (so far) is the last Tex game. The story continues (for a bit) in "Tex Murphy Radio Theater" the six episodes of which are probably available from one of the fine folks on this very Board. On the off chance that they aren't, the episodes will be available when the new UOTM Site makes its triumphant return. :)
I just can't wait for the next site.
It's good to wait for something while its woth it, and that it is.
nice to be able to have james posting on the board. hey james do you have the radio theatre that you could send. i reformatted and they were on a disk i backed up on and it got messed up. i'd like to have them again
I do have the files (not on me this exact moment, but safely stored on the original CDs direct from Salt Lake City... in a CD binder... encased in a brick of lucite and locked in a secure, underground vault... :) ). I don't know about sending them, per se, since the files are pretty beefy, but I will see about uploading them to the new server for download. I'll let you know when they're available.

off the subject of this post. but james, what kind fo tex stuff do you have that at this point in time we other guys dont' have access to? got any real goods around?
Seeing as i got myself a new copy of Overseer off ebay today, i'd be interested if anyone has a link ot that DVDexpress program needed to play that version.
sorry, that was me. Forgot to log in ^^
I don't know if you've done this already, but it'd be really cool if we could have a section with pictures of all the cool Tex memoribila that's been collected over the years. Of course that'd mean Jim the ol' guy would have a lot of work to do!!!
The proposed name for the new game was 'Black Pearl' wasn't it?

And Jen, very awesome idea. :D
Swim swim hungry.

JeffR has been kind enough to make a downloadpage on his homepage for (almost) all thinkable Tex-files, including DVDExpress. Here's the link: http://www.lpcdaust.com/html/downloads.html
awesome! Can't wait to be able to play the one fmv Tex game where disc swapping was not an issue! (i'm too lazy and don't have the space to rip TPD and assign fake cd drives).
Oddly enough, my collection isn't nearly as big as the likes of JTOG and others. I think the most exotic Tex item I have is a French translation of The Pandora Directive novel. I do have a few other things that aren't "memorabilia" per se, such as the original Radio Theater disks, and a demo script for the "Tex Murphy Online" idea that was (very) briefly in the works a couple years ago, which was the sort of "interactive Radio Theater" idea that some of you may remember. Other than that, my collection is woefully anemic.

That is actually an idea I've had myself. I would love to put something like that together (actually I think I remember trying to collect pictures for such a thing once before, right before the "Time of Disappearance"... as I call it :)) But, yeah, let's get it going again! Send pics to [email protected]

"The Black Pearl" was actually a completely separate project that Aaron and Chris were working on, based on a graphic novel written by none other than Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill... which, as is evident, didn't make it past the planning stages.
