agatha christie adventure games

anyone had a go with the agatha christie games, the first one in the series (and then there was none) next title to be released - murder on the orient express due out in nov 06

has FMV but mock characters but the graphics are good, puzzles are not hard . its not tex but the game is quite good.
I enjoyed And Then There Were None. I didn't realize they were going to make another Agatha Christie game...hmm...I'll have to put that on my list of things to do now.
the reviews I have read stated they were going to continue with several of the titles.

I liked the idea that they also showed the original ending as the book
I also enjoyed And Then There Were None quite a bit ... although it took a little getting used to all the different characters. There were quite a few, so it took a while to find out exactly which room they had in the house, so it was easier to solve some puzzles, but once I got into all that I enjoyed it a lot and I'm also looking forward to see the Murder On The Orient Express game.
Spoiler wrote:Funny thing about this game though is that you don't get to play the lead character Hercule Poirot but rather a female passenger who helps out Poirot with the investigation since Poirot is injured during the beginning of the game and can now only contribute with help solving puzzles during the game.
I wonder what other Agatha Christie novels are going to be adapted to the computer screen :)

AATWN had a few bugs and annoying gameplay issues. But other than that I felt it was quite ok. I enjoyed most of it. Orient Express could very well turn out to be a great game.

As far as I understand AATWN has sold pretty well, so it's not at all impossible that we might see as many Agatha Christie games as Nancy Drew games.
I liked the first few chapters of the game, but in the end it got quite boring and annoying.
In the later chapters you were only running around on the whole premises with no clues at all to find the next place which triggered the story to continue. No thinking required - just pure luck.
Of course one had to think about a way to trigger the next Sailor Boy rhyme in order to get the next murder for example in one chapter where the sailor boy rhyme said something about someone being stung at a bee hive ... then it's pretty obvious that one had to do something with the bee hive on the island in order to trigger this murder. I didn't feel that I was totally lost, but I do remember wandering about looking for clues and it was sometimes just pure luck but most of the time things went quite smoothly :)

Yeah, that one was obvious, but the later one's not. I don't remember any specifics anymore, but there was no clue where the next thing is going to happen.
If by pure luck just tumble directly into the right rooms, than you wouldn't have noticed this lacking "feature" of the game.In one case I wandered around the whole grounds (which takes a lot of time) and the last remaining room happened to be the one, that triggers the next event. :?
yes i got stuck a couple of times not being able to trigger to the next scene, kept on poking my head into the rooms & found that you would miss a corner that someone was just sitting in & thats all it needed to move on.
